Licensing Renewal Information

The following are fees associated with renewing a license to practise pharmacy, set by Canadian licensing bodies. All fees are subject to GST except for those in Ontario, Yukon and Northwest Territories.

ALBERTA

for annual licence renewal (July 1 to June 30):
as a practising pharmacist $650.00 (plus GST)
as a non-practising pharmacist $195 (plus GST)
other fees:
Reinstatement fee $225.00 (plus GST) 

BRITISH COLUMBIA

for annual licence renewal (licenses are renewed one year from the registration/anniversary date):
annual license - with building assessment for first five years - $645.00 + GST
annual license - without building assessment at year 6 - $595 + GST
other fees:
transfer to practising register - $125 + GST

MANITOBA

for annual licence renewal (January 1 - December 31):
as a practising pharmacist - $607.00 + GST **
as a non-practising pharmacist - $95.40 + GST
**Licensure fees are reduced by 40% on July 1

NEW BRUNSWICK

for annual licence renewal (January 1 - December 31):
active pharmacist $580 (+ HST = $661.20)*
inactive pharmacist $175 (+ HST = $199.50)
*(Annual license fee reduced by 40% after July 1)

NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR

for annual licence renewal (January 1 - December 31):
as a practising pharmacist - $380.00 + HST
as a non-practising pharmacist - $125 + HST

NORTHWEST TERRITORIES

for annual licence renewal (April 1 - March 31):
$250

NOVA SCOTIA

for annual licence renewal (January 1 - December 31):
practicing pharmacists - $430.00 + HST
non-practicing pharmacists - $200.00 + HST

ONTARIO

for annual licence renewal (January 1-December 31):
$570.19 (includes GST)

PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND

for annual licence renewal (April 1 - March 31):
as a practising pharmacist $475 + $25 (Continuing Education) = $500.00
as a non-practising pharmacist $200

QUEBEC

for annual licence renewal:
$668.00 + taxes = $761.52
