The next meeting of the National Drug Scheduling Advisory Committee (NDSAC) is scheduled for September 12, 2010. The primary purpose of the meeting is to consider the following matter:
- Request for a change in scheduling of naproxen sodium 220 mg per tablet to Unscheduled.
The current scheduling in the National Drug Schedules (NDS) for naproxen sodium 220 mg per tablet is:
- Naproxen sodium 220 mg per tablet (when sold in products labeled with a recommended maximum daily dose of 440 mg, and in package sizes of up to 6,600 mg) Schedule III
- Naproxen sodium 220 mg per tablet (when sold in products labeled with a recommended maximum daily dose of 440 mg, and in package sizes exceeding 6,600 mg ) Schedule II
Interested Party
Individuals, companies or organizations seeking Interested Party status for this agenda item are invited to contact NAPRA as soon as possible. All requests for Interested Party status must be submitted in writing to the NDSAC Secretariat via regular mail or E-mail no later than 4:00 p.m. (EST) on Friday, July 30, 2010.
Alternate method of participation
Individuals, companies or organizations that chose not to pursue Interested Party status or have been denied the status, can provide comments, in writing, related to the agenda item outlined above. The comments must be received by the NDSAC Secretariat via regular mail or E-mail no later than 4:00 p.m. (EST) on Friday, September 3, 2010. Please note: only an acknowledgement of receipt for the comments received will be provided.
